ANDROID CRASH: PLAGIARISM OF CASUAL GAMES GONE UNNOTICED

Source: us.gmocloud.com

Android has come to stay, it has provided a humble platform and a mattress that has enabled Sega to mingle and indie game developers to jingle all the way to success. An android crash is something that is not far from our reach, it might take time some time, but the influence it’s been experienced in low earnings for indie game developers.
Android internet operating system has transitioned from versions of Ice cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, and Kit Kat to the current Marshmallow 6.0 which was released in October this year. Android depends on software to be able to hold the number of mobile applications it does. With many game developers filling up the video game industry, revenue seems to be on the rise for the two major stakes involved being Google with its Google Play Store and Apple with its Apple Store.
The numbers seems to be rising and with Google adhering to the course of the Consumer Protection Cooperation (CPC) of the European Union to meet their guidelines, Apple is making strides and would certainly get there but it should be recorded clearly that the CPC’s regulation are based on the exploitation of children and the exhortation of parents on the subject of in-app purchases.

Figures were sourced from Statista.com
Statistics from the figure above is not all, the number for downloads stands at 100bn for Apple’s App Store and 50bn for Google’s Play Store.
Many gamers in contemporary times are complaining of their phones crashing and slowing down due to background android applications running. Mobile game downloads take the lion share of the App store with 23% of mobile app downloads, followed by social media and the others.

Apart from social media, the other thriving mobile applications are games as they help people pass the time when they are in the middle of a witty chat. This is basically simple, the number of applications in the App store coupled with the number of apps downloaded have high numbers as they have become like the Chinese building movie screens, more apps are thrown into android every day.
Many consumers do not know where to start and they do not know what to download directly when they get their hands on a new smartphone. Puzzle, racing and soccer games have the same theme and the same goal. Unlike games played on physical consoles or tablets, developers deem it a great responsibility to give a clear distinction between its titles.
Look at the transition from Terminator 2’s Console (Ending Man’s) Soccer to Sega Mega Drive's Soccer Deluxe down to Nintendo 64’s International Soccer, PlayStation One’s Winning Eleven to the contemporary Pro Evolution Soccer and FIFA games, there are distinctions in these games to keep consumers glued to their consoles and give gamers good value for money.
Racing games like Asphalt 8: Airborne, Unpossible, Nitro Nation Racing, Shine Runner, Traffic Street Racing: Muscle have game plays that takes after each other with the same connectivity problems for experts who rely on Wi-Fi to get things done. Most of the cars in these games although came as advertised with the quote of free but money would need to be invested in the form of an in-app purchase to get the most advanced cars and the best in racing.
Contemporary game developers seems to have outgrown nature and fail to adhere to the old cliché of a dream being nothing but a dream, and therefore games no matter the design or how its programmed should be made to look like a game with the easiest of flexibility and navigation. Most of these games require android version 4.0 and over to be able to play with the notion of people having advanced smartphones and tablets could help them utilize the exclusive stance of in-app purchases. This has brought a massive toll on the creative ability of most indie developers.
What Does This Mean for Casual Games and the Indie Game Developer?
Because of the advancement in technology and games being designed to look real, the indie game developer has got to accept this stance or seek another platform. Many indie developers would need to up their budget, get enough ideas on programming, engineering and art so that they can compete in a market where games are not sold anymore but applications that are solely driven by a strong motive on finance and thus make and take.
Many gamers would now have come to the same consensus on why there are so many repetitions in games because there is no creativity, every form of creativity should be pushed through the market with a power and that is the power of finance which is mightier and works faster than the cars found in video games.
Many people who have fallen in love with the virtual world are surprised that plagiarism is detested by online indie content managers but has undoubtedly been accepted by online indie game developers.
With the faith and belief of many indie developers due to great articles and reports, games could be developed to a stance which would make the future look bright. Competition is keener than ever as Facebook rained number one for various weeks at number one but are now fourth on the most patronized social media platform by teens in the United States, this might be the main reason why many game developers are shipping in their applications to try and topple the current games and make flamboyant sales.
Every developer’s hope adds one app to a flooded system already, when plugs fill up an electric socket, what happens, it escalates and blows out. Android has been the savior but with the dependence on in-game advertisement and in-app purchases many developers might soon need the emergence of another platform to come up with their ideas if indeed they are real indie developers with meager budgets.
Low quality game plays, games taking a whole lot of time to load, and many similarities with the only thing separating them being titles with publishers trying to get their games out with no love whatsoever an android crash is just a stone’s throw away.
