It seems the art and
craft of writing is being undermined by the people who want articles, contents
and blog posts. Sometimes because of economic hardships, many freelancers are
forced to take up some jobs that cannot even afford an internet bundle and keep
up their livelihoods running. Many employers on Freelance writing sites are
doing great for themselves appreciating the craft of writing and giving people
great money for their enormous contribution.
On the other hand, there
are some people who have seen the vulnerability associated with Freelancers,
Freelancers should not in any way just apply for jobs and they should in no way
accept projects for less than $1 per 100
words. This is a courtesy call for the art and craft of writing because
intellectual property is one of the things that should be given credence and
writers should do all they can to reject such proposals.
Most of the employers
who normally place $0.25 per 100 words
and $1 per 500 words most often
times might be legit but most of
them are middlemen who just go out
there get the topics send it to innocent and creative freelancers, they get paid $10-$20 and they give you $1
for the article. This is disheartening as many people are relying on these monies
to be able to do something great.
Writers, writers and
writers, please, please and please, our creativity should be matched,
creativity should be matched with better remuneration. No matter where you are,
writers should accept $4 for 500 words and
up because thinking, writing and typing is a three in one adventure. Don’t and
don’t sell your creativity cheap. Writing is the greatest asset you have as it
helps us become better people in planning.
